WOD:
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps for time:
Wall Balls (20/14 to 10ft)
Box Jumps (24/20)
Pull-ups
200m Run*

*One 200m run is done at the end of each round. Ex: 10 wb, 10 bj, 10 pu, 200m run, then 9 wb, 9 bj, 9 pu, 200m run etc....*

Who likes to use the same set-up Cyle has for handstand push-ups and why???

  1. I feel that this is a good way to protect oneself from neck or spinal injuries. Too many times I have gotten fatigued doing HSPUs and come down hard on the top of my head. With the abmat there I have a cushion to come down to and with my hands on the weights I am still getting the full ROM. Besides, I often have to resort to kipping and resting on the abmat is much better than the other pads we have.

    If you wanted to take it a step further you could stack more weights and go deeper at the bottom of the HSPU, increasing ROM and strengthening the shoulders even more (a good way to scale up for those who excel at HSPUs).
